MISSION OF THE COMMITTEE
The purpose of this committee is to provide support and help the immigrant Guatemalans businesses in United States to improve their economic and educational conditions through trade and commerce; to defend economic discriminations against Guatemalan immigrants, and to assist local Guatemalan community to foster strong business and trade relationships with the people and government of Guatemala.
OTHER PURPOSES
Additional purpose of this Corporation is to do charitable work to support The Republic of Guatemala in the development and implementation of business development plans and strategies; to promote business opportunities in The Republic of Guatemala to US-based companies; to actively foster strong relationship with the United State government and related agencies for funding projects and programs in The Republic of Guatemala; and to develop humanitarian projects and programs in The Republic of Guatemala..

By this entity the Chamber will be able to access support and resources to help small business with training and financial aid for trade and project development to and from the Republic of Guatemala to increase the Guatemalan community's standard of living and employment, specially in those areas that have a large migration to US

Mision y Objetivos
OBJETIVOS
Camara Guatemalteco Americana de Migrantes y Retornados o CAMIGUA es organizada por LAMETRO para apoyar, incrementar e incentivar el comercio, la inversión y las relaciones bilaterales entre Estados Unidos y GUATEMALA, especialmente en las áreas marginadas y de donde salen mas migrantes de ese país hacia Estados Unidos.
CAMIGUA es constituida con el objetivo de fomentar y defender los intereses generales del comercio y el sistema de libre empresa con énfasis en el migrante guatemalteco, como instrumento eficaz de desarrollo económico y social de GUATEMALA y Estados Unidos de Norteamérica.
CAMIGUA, además de los fines y objetivos propuestos en los presentes estatutos tiene como objetivo proporcionar una asociación voluntaria con personas, organizaciones e instituciones del Guatemala con Estados Unidos de Norteamérica, para buscar el negocio bilateral y el desarrollo económico con las personas asociadas, sin fines de lucro, basados en la ayuda mutua y reciprocas.
